Powell Eddison Solicitors has had it roots in the Harrogate area for well over 200 years. In the late 19th century we acted as under stewards for the Manor and Forest of Knaresborough and a previous office in Castle Yard, Knaresborough was the former Courthouse.
From about 1900 the firm has also conducted its business from premises at 14 Albert Street, Harrogate but now occupy the new premises at Raglan House, Raglan Street, Harrogate.
The firm was taken over by Avery Walters Solicitors with the aim of reinvigorating it with the objective of providing quality advice to individuals and businesses at high street prices, delivering an approachable, professional and collaborative service to all. That is why every member of the Powell Eddison team is a specialist in their chosen field and has either worked for a National Law firm or is highly regarded amongst their peers.
Powell Eddison has regenerated rapidly and is now a 3-partner firm of solicitors specialising in company/commercial, employment, commercial and residential conveyancing, personal injury and medical negligence and Will and Trusts.
We operate from 2 offices, one in Chapel Allerton in Leeds, West Yorkshire under the trading name of Avery Walters Solicitors, and one in Harrogate under the trading name of Powell Eddison Freeman & Wilks Solicitors.
Both offices are full-service offices and provide legal services to our clients throughout the United Kingdom. We provide a cost effective and professional service, known for giving robust, pragmatic and practical advice.
