This department deals with the myriad types of cases proceeding in the County Court and High Court. Typically these will include:-

• ...consumer law cases;

• ...neighbour and land disputes;

• ...debt collection;

• ...mortgage possession cases;

• ...holiday cases;

• ...commercial contract disputes;

• ...landlord and tenant problems.

There are new court rules following the Woolf reforms and we would seek to advise a client of the impact of those rules upon their case and the objectives of the Woolf reforms generally. In some cases we would advise our client that to pursue a case utilising a solicitor would be uneconomical. Where, however, a client nevertheless wished to commence proceedings then we would continue to act, otherwise we can advise clients on self help and how to pursue matters in the Small Claims Court.
