Powell Eddison Freeman & Wilks has had its roots in Knaresborough for well over 200 years.

In the late nineteenth century we acted as understewards for the Manor and Forest of Knaresborough, and our previous office in Castle Yard, Knaresborough was the former courthouse.

From about 1900 the firm has also conducted its business from premises at 14 Albert Street, Harrogate - our present head office.

The firm was formed in 1937 by the amalgamation of Powell Sons & Eddison, E.P. Cross & Freeman and Derek Paul Wilks.
